Chocolate
Chip Cookies (Modified Recipe)
Makes 2-1/2 dozen cookies
Ingredients
1 cup plus 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. margarine (stick)
6 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 egg whites
1/2 cup 3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1/2 cup dry, uncooked oatmeal
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a small bowl, combine flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine margarine, sugar, brown sugar and
vanilla; beat until creamy. Beat in egg whites.
- Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and oatmeal.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes.
