Orange Spice Tea Mix
Serves 8

Ingredients
1 cinnamon stick, broken into pieces
5 whole cloves
2 tablespoons dried orange peel
2 whole black peppercorns
6 black tea bags, strings removed
8 cups water

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, combine cinnamon stick, cloves, orange peel and peppercorns.
  • Place spice mixture and the tea bags in a cheesecloth bag, and tie with kitchen string.
  • To prepare tea: Bring water to a boil. Add cheesecloth bag and steep for 5 minutes.

Nutrition tip: Served warm, this beverage may help soothe a sore throat. Cinnamon is said to be a natural therapy for colds, flu, headache, toothache and sore muscles.
